VISITING INFORMATION

Dear Catboatfriends,

Due to the increasing popularity of the Catboat over the years, the Catboat is becoming more and more visited during visiting hours. Initially, due to the restrictions of Covid-19, we adopted a reservation system, which we have used to date. Due to the large number of visitors, the system goes beyond its purpose. So we are going to test how it goes without the reservation system and now only on walk-ins.

From September on all visitors can come during our visiting hours. As before, you can visit between 13:00 and 15:00 on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. We can only let 6 people at the time in, so you may have to wait before you can enter. In the event that it’s very crowded, you may even have to come back later.

THE CATBOAT

The Catboat wouldn’t be the Catboat if we wouldn’t have catloving visitors!

Everybody is welcome to visit during our visiting hours. We can only receive 6 people at the same time, so keep in mind that you sometimes have to wait until there is space for you to enter. In the event that it’s super busy, it’s even possible that you may even have to come back another time. It’s no longer possible to make a reservation online, also not via email.

The Catboat is opened for visitors three days a week, on:

Tuesday             from 13:00 till 15:00

Friday                 from 13:00 till 15:00

Saturday            from 13:00 till 15:00

Our visiting hours are a bonus, intended for our Catboatfriends who would like to take a look in our beautiful cat shelter and meet our cats. Remember the Catboat is not a petting zoo or attraction.

Note! During our visiting hours we can’t help people that are interested in adopting a Catboat cat, because there is too little time and it is to busy. To discuss a possible adoption, you can make an appointment by phone. First look for more information on the page ‘Cat adoption’.

We ask all visitors to:

  • Respectfully and calmly treat our cats, each other and the environment;
  • Do not pick up the cats, touch them rough or perform actions that can be perceived as unpleasant;
  • Listening to our employees and following their instructions;

Who are welcome?

All adults and children (accompanied by an adult) are very welcome. It is important for the well-being of our cats that both adults and children behave calmly.

The cat boat is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible and difficult to access for people with a physical disability.

Visiting with several people?

We recommend that you only visit in small groups, this is better for you as well as for other visitors. Due to the limited space, we allow a maximum of 6 visitors at the same time. If you still want to come with several people, you will be divided up and you can take turns entering. We hope to welcome you soon!
